Connect to Project Server
To connect to the Project Server from within Project Professional, do the following:
- Tools->Enterprise Options->Microsoft Office Project Server Accounts
- Select "Manually control connection state"
- Select "Add..."
- Account Name: Project Server
- Project Server URL: https://projectsrv/pwa
- When Connecting: select "Use Windows user account"
- Set as Default
- Select OK
- Quit Project Professional
Start Internet Explorer
In Internet Explorer you have to add https://projectsrv as trusted sites in I.E.
Start Internet Explorer
- Tools->Internet Options
- Select Security Tab
- Select Trusted Sites
- Select Sites
- Remove check from "Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone"
- In the "Add this Web site to the zone" box enter: https://projectsrv
- Select Add
- In the "Add this Web site to the zone" box enter: http://projectsrv
- Select Add
- Select OK
- Select OK
- Quit I.E.
- Start MS Project, and you should be good to go.
You can also do this using the web front end; just enter the following URL in I.E.: https://projectsrv/pwa The first time you connect, you will be logged in automatically. If you log out, you must select "Log on using your Microsoft Windows account" in the left navigation pane.
Add User
You need to add user as admin the first time you do the web front end
- Go to the project site (https://projectsrv)
- click the "I Accept" EULA radio button & next
- Will start installing stuff, press the continue anyways button about 10 times :-)
- remove user from admin
- test
