Printers:Ucomm printer accounting

University Communications has a big Xerox printer named Looseleaf down on ground floor that they do job accounting on. Mechelle Normand has a list of users and their 2 codes. You will need this info to set up job accounting.
- Be logged in as the user.
- If the printer was already installed, remove it.
- Execute \\cerebro\software\xerox\X-GPDWinXP03V_PS_English.exe as Local Admin
- Redirect the installer to C:\temp\Xerox\, if it pops up with "Add a Printer...", click cancel.
- As local admin:
- (Your going to be doing this twice: once for LOOSELEAFCLR and once for LOOSELEAFBW)
- Add a Printer
- Add a "Local Printer" UNcheck "Automagically detect and install..."
- Choose "Create a New Port" and select "Standard TCP/IP Port"
- Use the IP Adress "141.219.38.242"
- Use the Port Name "LOOSELEAFCLR" for color and "LOOSELEAFBW" for black and white
- When it asks about the printer driver,Click "Have Disk" and point it to the driver extracted earlier (C:\temp\Xerox\X-GPD_Driver\x2UNIVP.inf)
- Set printer as default if they want it to be.
- Wait to finish.
- Check to see if it uses BW or Color by default, in printing preferences, and change it accordingly
- Go to LOOSELEAF__ Properties > Configuration > Accounting...
- Select "Xerox Standard Accounting or Auditron"
- Select "Use Default Accounting Codes"
- Under "Default Account Type:" Select Group Account
- This is where you type in the two codes you received from Mechelle Normand. Make sure that you type in ONLY the numbers, no letters.
- Click OK, OK.
- Go to LOOSELEAF__ Properties and change whether it prints in Color or Black and White respectively
- Try printing something, if it worked continue.
- Show them how to switch between Color and B&W printing, nothing special for that, you're done!
