Mac:Mail

To set up Mac Mail, it's straight forward, like Thunderbird but...

  1. Open Mac Mail and launch the Address Book application.
  2. Go to Address Book and then Preferences
  3. Select the LDAP tab and click Add
  4. Now fill out the form as follows:
    1. For Name:, type the name you want MTU Lookup
    2. For Server:, type ldap.mtu.edu
    3. For Search Base: type: ou=people,dc=mtu,dc=edu
    4. Type in 636 for the port number
    5. SubTree
  5. Click Save.
