Mac:Forcing Home Drives

[edit] To Force a Home Drive

As admin

  • Go under directory Utility.
  • admin.mtu.edu should be there
  • Click Services on top.
  • Select Active Directory.
  • Click the pencil in the bottom left to edit.
  • Click show advanced options.
  • Check force local home drive at startup.
  • Use the default dock.plist and replace this one: 
HD/users/aUser/Library/Preferences/com.apple.dock.plist
