[edit] Expectations and responsibilities of a SAS Liaison:
- Two or more years experience with all Microsoft Office Products.
- Provide support for departmental applications.(Banner, Eudora, Meeting Maker, Web Browsers, Adobe Products, MS Office, EC-Grant, Crystal Reports, SSH/SFTP, etc.)
- Diagnose hardware and software problems.
- Provide detailed information on all file restoration such as “userid”, file location, and date.
- (eg. “bmkendzi” P:\user\documentation\HR dept, the entire folder needs to be restored from MM-DD-YY)
- Provide SAS information on department specific software. (eg. ZIPFinder, Ed-connect, SPSS, PIN etc.)
- Provide basic desktop assistance for:
- adding printers
- monitor setup
- virus scanning
- home drive quota
- file deletion
- passwords, etc.
- Train users on the use of applications.
- Attend SAS liaison meetings and distribute information back to their department.
