[edit] How to get a file restored

The liaison should send an email to itsas@mtu.edu. This will go to all full time SAS members. The email should include user name, user-id, drive, and full path of the file and the last known night that the file was good.

ex: “I need a file restored for Gary Smith, gsmith, P:\documents\SAS internals\PIT forms\Smitty.doc, it was last known good on 6-24-04.”

This information will then be used to start the restore. Restores from the current tape set are often done in less than 1 hour.
