F5 VPN Phone Book Error

When a user tries to connect to a network and gets an error about a phone book not being found, you must go in and create the phone book file it's looking for. The correct location should be H:\Application Data\Microsoft\Network\Connections\Pbk\somefile.pbk

If you launch the F5 network they are looking for, go to the logs tab and open the log then look towards the bottom, it will list the exact file it's looking for.

Firewall/ dialup options

Sometimes F5 VPN changes the Internet Options to trying to connect to a dial up network.

  • Go to Control Panel => Internet Options
  • Under the Connections Tab make sure Never Dial a Connection is the selected option.
  • Click OK
